Technometria co-host Scott Lemon discusses his new experiences with Wovyn, a company that is deeply involved in the Internet of Things. IoT allows users to control all aspects of their digital lives, including their personal devices, appliances, and utilities. He reviews a number of the technical aspects of IoT, beginning with the clear belief of its future importance to the consumer. He also talks about how Wovyn used Kickstarter as a way to help fund the company's projects.


Scott C. Lemon is founder of HumanXtensions L.L.C. - a Software Consulting, Development, and Internet R&D company.  HumanXtensions provides business process automation solutions for its clients, and also spins off its own technology companies.  Recently HumanXtensions spun off Wovyn, L.L.C. – an Internet of Things start-up that has created a platform for connecting sensors and actuators to any type of software, using industry standard protocols.  Scott is also heavily involved in the Utah start-up community, and his expertise ranges from computer and wireless hardware technologies, to networking and distributed software applications. As a futurist studying the patterns of evolution, he is actively following the coming of the Singularity.
